We invite you to be part of 100+ Women Who Care Rockford & Beyond. This caring group of women come from all walks of life with one common goal... TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
The process is very simple, we meet for one hour four times a year and commit to donating $100 at each meeting (or whatever you are comfortable with). When you individually donate to a charity or cause, you often wonder if you’re actually making a difference. When 100 people donate $100 at the same time, the group accomplishes collectively what few of us could on our own. This results in a powerful impact in our community.
If you have a heart for giving but not necessarily time to volunteer then this group is for you!

How It Works
We meet four times a year, for a one hour meeting. Any member wishing to request a donation for a local person or charity will fill out a quick form upon arrival of the meeting.
The forms will be put in a hat and three will be randomly drawn for this meeting. The members whose form was drawn will be asked to come up and give a five-minute presentation as to why this person or charity should receive the donation.
After presentations are made, all members present vote for the person or charity they would like to support. The one with the most votes receives the donation from that meeting.
The $100 checks will be written directly to that person or charity.

No national charities will be considered. The purpose is for 100% of our contributions to stay in Rockford and closely surrounding areas.

The selected person or charity is not eligible for consideration again for 12 months after receiving a donation from the group

The other two non-selected persons or charities may be submitted again for consideration beginning with the next meeting.
PRESENTING TIPS
01.
Introduce yourself and the name of the organization you would like to receive the funding.
02.
Start with a compelling opening statement.
03.
Share the organization’s mission or person's situation including full background information if possible. (Bring photos or props if available.)
04.
Identify how the funds will be used and who all they will impact.
05.
End with a heartfelt request and a thank you to your fellow members for their consideration.
Spend a few minutes planning your presentation for maximum impact. Remember you are the key to helping the local person or charity receive the help they need. Consider incorporating the points below into your presentation – but remember, you only have 5 minutes!
